The following information was recently received from the Department of Health which is causing concern for Infection Control Consultants in Victoria.
Bernadette Kennedy has resigned her position as the A/Manager of Quality and Safety Programs at the Department of Health- her last day was Friday 10th February. Berni has taken a challenge and moved to a senior position in community health closer to home.
Bernie has worked at the department for 5 years and has been a valuable resource for many health services so she will be missed.
As you may be aware, as part of the sustainable public service reform, resignations, contracts and secondments are not being replaced or renewed so the role will be managed with the resources available within the Quality and Safety Program area.
